Since it is nearly December , I thought we better put in an update for the goings on this month! Well we are all 'a twitter' about the Pottengers visit in December! Looking forward to visits. laughter, tears , more laughter, many smiles and lots of fun! Travel safe dear friends.
We are also preparing for a couple of events in December. The Night in Bethlehem event that we started last year with great success., where we turn the church into ancient Bethlehem, and have a marketplace , and a manger complete with a family portraying Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus. It was well received by all the participants last year and we are looking forward to this year and what the LORD will bring! That is happening Dec 11th.
On the the 1st we will be having a Ladies Christmas tea. I am looking forward to that, to help focus on Jesus, who is supposed to be the whole reason for this Holiday! Wanting to have the JOY of the season and not the chaos of the worldly distractions. So I look forward to Singing worship songs and praying and fellowshipping with like minded ladies!
The SENT team has been helping the London team through their preparation process. That has been a blessing to see how that works and to be a part of it. We have more people at the SENT prayer times and that is a blessing too! It is exciting to see all the LORD is doing and how HE is revealing the path bit by bit, and bringing encouragement and clarity when needed.
SKC started again, and they are well staffed and enthusiastic. I haven't seen as many High School and Jr High kids in the Coffee house this season, I hope that changes, as I really enjoy getting to know them and see what Jesus is doing in their lives!
The weather has turned Fall-ish for now! We even had a bit of rain last night! Yay for rain! It is supposed to be a beautiful Thanksgiving. We are planning our menu and everyone is deciding what they want to make. All my kids have their favorite things to make, the boys like to do the turkey, with a homemade cornbread stuffing, and orange maple glaze, my daughter is the dessert master so she will be making pumpkin cheesecake this year! I get to make the sweet potatoes , some with marshmallows and some savory, and I will probably do some green beans.
I am getting hungry already!
Have a Thanksgiving filled with blessings and fellowship. Thanking the LORD for all of you! God bless you!
